The Lower Shore Clinic is an approved National Health Service Corps site. Students pursuing primary care careers: The Scholarship Program pays for tuition and fees of future primary care providers, including physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, and physician assistants. Primary care providers interested in serving communities in need: The Loan Repayment Program provides up to $50,000 for loans in primary care—medical, dental, or mental/behavioral health. Students in the final year of medical or dental school pursuing primary care careers: The Students to Service Program provides up to $120,000 to students pursuing degrees in primary care and are in their final year of medical or dental school.
Providers that are hired by our organization will be eligible for up to $75,000 in loan repayment in exchange for three years of service. Members of the SUD integrated treatment team who qualify for NHSC SUD treatment expansion include: physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants who are eligible to administer MAT, substance use disorder counselors, and behavioral health professionals.

Revised pay-as-you-earn repayment
The Foundation wishes to encourage staff to enhance their educations in areas that will benefit both their career development and the organization. Staff receiving monies will commit to repaying same as an interest bearing loan but may request loan forgiveness if they are employed by the organization after receiving a degree. The fund is available to all full-time staff in good standing and have been employed full time for more than 1 year. Staff must attend classes at an accredited college or university leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree which benefits the organization.
