Healthy Foods Program
The Healthy Foods Program is in full swing at the Lower Shore Clinic! We have 128 members identified with diabetes that will receive nutritious foods through this health initiative. The purpose of The Healthy Foods Program is to increase member access to fresh produce, provide nutritional education, teach cooking skills and positively impact their A1C's all while eliminating food waste in our community. We have staff dedicated to building relationships with local vendors, picking up donated produce and processing it to distribute to our members. The program started on July 1, 2020 and we already received and delivered fresh zucchini, squash, watermelons, potatoes, and more.
